How did it go?
Things started out with a few reworks on the track No Place (I'd rather be) which included working on the mid range of the cello to bring them out a little more. Then we added a bit more ambiance to the track Those Little Things. This also filled the track up nicely.
Once done, we began work on the electric lead sections for Rock It Man. Things got a little hair raising when we got to the final lead piece. For some reason, my fingers stopped working! A good friend of mine captured this on video for everyone to enjoy.
Finally we got it right and it was suggested to add some harmony line to the lead section at the end. With a little bit of work and fiddling, we managed to get (what I believe to be) a fantastic piece!
Once we were done with those electric pieces, we began work on 78 Zero 6 Zero 7 and managed to get the acoustic rhythm and electric rhythm pieces laid down. We also managed to get the lead sections laid down. So all in all it was a brilliant, highly productive day in the studio. Just one more track to lay down and then I will get the drummer in and add the bass.

My initial project has finally launched the album. Pretty excited about it all, finally, there is a line in the sand
Last week friday I received news that my musical mentor and dear friend had passed away. His family asked me to do an eulogy. Having delivered it this afternoon, I decided I wanted to let the world know about the man that had shaped me into some semblance of a musician.
My sincere apologies for being so quiet. Things have been really busy my side and some really exciting developments are under way. So here it is, a long over due update.
Often we strive for perfection and give little thought to the untold pressure it places on us. This pressure has a significantly adverse effect on our creative ability.
