The first track (No Place (I'd rather be)) scheduled for recording has been documented (both the lead and rhythm tracks) using Guitar Pro 6.
That took a while, huh?
Well yeah. Unfortunately writing music is not my strong point. I generally sit and noodle on the instrument until something comes along and I start piecing things together. Very rarely do I sit down and formulate pieces of music on theoretical knowledge. This is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time.
So, having sat down and worked out the rhythm sections I began work on the lead sections. This took a bit of time as I would have to sit and work out the lead pieces by ear. It actually turned out to be a really cool training exercise as well! So now that this is all done I am pretty certain that the time in the studio is going to be highly productive and I am hoping to get through at least one track.
And then what?
With that being said, depending on how quickly I manage to get through the track, it might be a good idea to have a second track ready. For the second track I have been considering "Those little things".
The reasoning is two fold:
Once that one is complete, I will begin work on "Rock It Man". Once that one is sorted it is on to "My Tornado" - which will probably go through a significant rework to sort out the lead pieces and a bit of reconstruction. Then, Lord willing, it will be "The path I walk" which I am really looking forward to reworking with a really good friend.

My initial project has finally launched the album. Pretty excited about it all, finally, there is a line in the sand
Last week friday I received news that my musical mentor and dear friend had passed away. His family asked me to do an eulogy. Having delivered it this afternoon, I decided I wanted to let the world know about the man that had shaped me into some semblance of a musician.
My sincere apologies for being so quiet. Things have been really busy my side and some really exciting developments are under way. So here it is, a long over due update.
Loads of fun and games in the last studio session!
Often we strive for perfection and give little thought to the untold pressure it places on us. This pressure has a significantly adverse effect on our creative ability.
